The Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has condemned the killing of the APC Chairman in Nasarawa state, Chief Philip Tatari Shekwo, by unknown gunmen.

Recall that the police in Nasarawa state confirmed that unknown gunmen in large numbers, stormed Shekwo's residence around 11.00pm last Saturday night and whisked him to an unknown destination.

This was contained in a press statement, signed by the Bauchi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Uba Nana, and made available to newsmen in Bauchi.

According to the statement, the assassination of Chief Philip Shekwo has further exposed the high level of insecurity in the land when terrorists in the name of Bandits, kidnappers,armed robbers and political thugs kill innocent citizens with impunity.

"While commiserating with the government, people of Nasarawa state and the APC family on this irreparable loss, we call on security agencies to intensify efforts in order to arrest the myriad of security challenges in the country"

"We are calling on them to conduct a thorough investigation with a view to fishing out the murders of the late APC chairman and bring them to justice" the statement reads. NNL.
