In today's fast-paced world, the significance of maintaining security and harmony within our communities cannot be overstated. The proposal put forth by the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Barr. Peter Mbah, to establish ranching and abattoirs in select Local Government Areas, deserves careful consideration. From the government perspective, this initiative aims to mitigate the alleged terroristic activities of Fulani nomads and cattle herders, in the state, thereby fostering a safe environment for all citizens.

When Debola and Akin got married, Akin was not in a good place financially. He was living from hand to mouth, struggling to pay his rent and generally depending on salary advance to get through the month. He was getting on in years and his parents were permanently on his case to get married. He was reluctant to commit to any serious relationship. How was he expected to feed two mouths when he couldn’t feed himself? How can you tell a new bride not to get pregnant because his tiny room-and-parlour could and would not expand because the occupant was now married? In the process, three unarmed and innocent civilians were abducted and remain missing to this day: Lawrence Ugochukwu, Felix Okafor, and Ikenna Chibuike.
