A non-governmental, non-partisan group under the auspices of North East Youths Advocacy for Peace and Development Initiative has asked the elected governor of Taraba State, Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd) to do everything humanly possible to bring to an end the lingering religious crisis in the State.

Accordingly, the group also appealed to the governor-elect when fully assumed a duty, to also look into the issue of farmers and herders clashes that are affecting the State.

The leader and chairman of the group, Comrade Umar Adamu Jibrin made this known to journalists at the weekend in Bauchi during a congratulatory press briefing on the gubernatorial victory of Col. Dr Agbu Kefas.

He noted that he has great experience, as a retired army officer and administrator, with vast knowledge of relevant laws, academic policies, administrative regulations and as an experienced leader and communicator.

Jibrin also described Kefas Agbu as a man with high-quality negotiating skill, long-standing experience in peacekeeping, good governance, civil society collaboration, counterterrorism issues, hostage negotiations, conflict resolution, and sustainable development issues.

The group believe that Kefas will fix every challenge that is confronting Taraba state and bring more development to the yearning and expectation of the people of Taraba State. They also urged Taraba people to join hands together and support Col. Agbu Kefas when he assumes duty and rebuild Taraba State.

The group, however, appreciates the gesture and commitment of Col. Kefas Agbu to education, youth empowerment and grassroots development of the red army. NNL.
