Grand Theft Auto VI footage has leaked online, the next entry in Rockstar's open-world franchise. There are 90 videos of GTA VI footage in a 3GB file posted on the GTA Forums, according to PC Gamer. "Teapotuberhacker" claims to be behind the recent Uber hack and says they may leak more data soon, including GTA V and GTA VI source code, assets, and testing builds.

Earlier reports on GTA VI showed a female playable character in some clips, which correlates with the massive leak. According to Bloomberg earlier this year, Bonnie and Clyde inspired a female protagonist in GTA VI. A source at Rockstar Games told Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier that the leak is real.

There are many gaming forums, including YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit where the leaked videos are being posted. A playable character named Lucia robs a restaurant and takes hostages in a video posted to YouTube. And several placeholder texts that make it apparent that the gameplay is still in the early stages, and you can see where the game engine is identifying items in the area.

A playable character is shown on the "Vice City Metro" train in another video, supporting rumors that the game is situated in a made-up version of Miami similar to GTA: Vice City from 2002. In a different video, a dialogue taking place by the pool is reminiscent of NPC talks in Red Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar.

The clip isn't obvious how old it is, but it looks to be running on RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3080 cards, implying that the development build can't be more than two years old. Other videos display enhanced UI and animations, new NPC interactions, and even Rockstar's internal debugging tools for GTA VI on the PlayStation.

Despite the fact that GTA VI is apparently at least two years away, these leaked videos demonstrate early and incomplete development builds and testing of several game mechanics. This isn't the first instance of a Rockstar game leak. In 2018, Trusted Reviews was obliged to contribute more than $1 million to charity and offer an apology after publishing facts about Red Dead Redemption 2 ahead of the game's release. However, Take-Two appears to have begun issuing takedown requests for certain GTA VI footage posted on YouTube. Some videos now display "This video is no longer accessible owing to a copyright claim by Take 2 Interactive," while many others remain live.

Here is official Tweet from Rockstra Games addressing the leak.
