* Congratulations Imo Governor On His Victory At APC Senate Primary

Chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chiefs Longers Anyanwu and Tony Chukwu, have paid a solidarity visit to the Imo state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinmma, following his recent victory at the National Assembly Senate primary held by their party in Imo state.
The visit to the governor at his office in Government House Owerri, was also part of the ongoing political alignment between the governor and notable political leaders in Imo state and top members of the APC, among whom are Chiefs Longers Anyanwu and Tony Chukwu.
Recently, Chief Tony Chukwu and Senator Ifeanyi Ararume also visited governor Uzodinmma at residence in Owerri to felicitate with him on his victory after which the governor and Chief Chukwu had a private session.
However, there have been vigorous political efforts based on years of geographical campaign led by both Chief Longers Anyanwu and Chief Tony Chukwu, in alliance with other political leaders from Okigwe axis to have that senatorial zone occupy the Douglas House Government headquarter in Owerri, Imo state, once again, in 2028.
Anyanwu and Chukwu's arguments have been that the Okigwe zone needs to, at least, "complete" their second tenure political entitlement after the unfortunate defeat in the 2011 general elections of former governor Ikedi Ohakim who is from that Okigwe Senatorial flank.
The two political leaders (Anyanwu and Chukwu) contend that if Orlu zone have held the governorship position in almost quick succession since the inception of the current democratic dispensation in 1999, save for the brief four years interregnum between 2007 and 2011 during the administration of Ohakim, it is therefore politically justified that the Okigwe zone should be supported by the incumbent governor Hope Uzodinmma administration and indeed the Imo electorates to complete their governorship tenure of eight years in 2028.
The visit by Chiefs Longers Anyanwu and Tony Chukwu, long time political associates of governor Hope Uzodinmma, was the high point of yet to be unfurled political cooperation and understanding ahead of the 2027/2028 polls. NNL.
