Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has called on women to take active roles in leadership, innovation, and socio-economic development.
This exhortation was contained in her International Women’s Day message for 2026.
The first lady commended the dedication and determination of women in overcoming barriers and contributing to the growth of families, communities, and the nation. She noted that empowering women through education, healthcare, and economic opportunities remains central to Bauchi State’s development agenda under Governor Bala Mohammed.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed urged women to mentor and inspire each other, reinforcing the importance of collective action toward achieving gender equality and justice.
She concluded by wishing all women a happy International Women’s Day, echoing the 2026 global theme: “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls.” NNL.
