Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman, has congratulated the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed, on his re-election for a second term.
The Governor was declared winner of the just concluded governorship election in Bauchi State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with 525,280 votes, thrashing his major opponents to a distant 2nd and a very distant 3rd; APC's Sadique Baba Abubakar who scored 432,272 votes comes second while NNPP's Senator Halliru Dauda Jika, who scored 60, 496 votes comes third.
The Speaker said that the massive victory recorded by Governor Bala during the polls is an unambiguous testimony of his unprecedented track record in the development of Bauchi State which majority of people of the State are satisfied with.
”We express gratitude to the Almighty Allah, who giveth and taketh power, for accepting our prayers and supplications. It gives me great pleasure that the good people of Bauchi State have rewarded and reciprocated the good work and political sagacity of Governor Bala Muhammad with this huge support.
"This is true meaning of true love and solidarity. We are grateful to all people of Bauchi State for the support and peaceful conducts during this very important election. I am speechless and short of sufficient words to express how happy and grateful I am" , he said.
Speaker Abubakar further stated that the way and manner the Governor massively defeated anti-democratic and unprogressive forces in the State, proved that he is a political gladiator, master strategist and one of the finest Nigeria's political force.
He assured that the 10th House of Assembly will further strengthen the gains and achievements recorded in the first term so that more transformations and developmental strides will be realized in the second tenure of the Governor through robust legislations, quality representation and synergy between all the arms of government.
The Speaker prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to guide the Governor aright and give him more wisdom and strength to efficiently deliver. NNL.
