- * As Another Group Begs Senators, Reps To Vote Kalu, Abbas

The chairman of Fanka Group, Danladi Solo, has reiterated its stand for the endorsement of Senator Orji Ozor Kalu as the 10th Senate President of Nigeria under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said the group's endorsement of Kalu who is from the Southeast part of the country, was purely for equity, fairness and justice.
Danladi Solo made the assertion in an inclusive interview with NIGERIAN NEWSLEADER Newspaper Correspondent at the weekend in Bauchi State
He stressed that, Senator Orji Kalu deserves to be on the seat more than any person from the region, considering his experience, and his years of service as a Senator.
According to Solo, Senator Kalu was a two-time governor of Abia state before he was elected Senator representing his constituency to date in the Senate. He explained that Orji Kalu has been a loyal member of the party without any issue of anti+party activities and rancor among the stakeholders of the party.
Solo, further said those qualities made people to adjudge him as the best of the best friendly Governor and Senator among his contemporaries. He also argued that Orji Uzor Kalu possesses all the qualities required to lead the red chamber and believes he will deliver on the mandate without difficulties.
Solo disclosed that 50 members of the group have made arrangement to commence road walk from Bauchi State to the FCT, Abuja to witnessed the Senate election process.
He urged the Senate members to use their knowledge wisely and ensure that they vote for the right candidate in the person of Senator Orji Orji Kalu as the next Senate President of the country come June 10, 2023.
Meanwhile, a political group known as North East Advancement for Good Governance, has called on the APC and All National Assembly members- elect to throw their support for Senator Orji Kalu for senate president and Hon Abbas Tajuddeen for Speaker.
This was disclosed to journalists during a press conference at the weekend in Bauchi by the chairman of the forum, Rt Hon Ukkasha Hamza Rahama (GCNY)
The statement reads thus: "We welcome you all to this historic Press Conference that seek to address, once again, the on-going political conversations on the distribution of Power in line with ethnic, religious and regional balancing. It is no longer news that the 2023 elections have come and gone, leaving behind a discussion that requires all hands to be on deck to safeguard the Peace and Unity of Nigeria".
North East Political Advancement Calls For Support To Honourable Tajuddeen as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.
"We are here to bake our voice clear as the members of North East Advancement for Good Governance on which geo-political zone of the country should get what in the interest of justice, fairness and equity. First of all, We want to join other leaders and the party leadership in their decision to zone the Office of the Speaker to North West.
"This an undeniable response to goodwill poured out by the people of the Region towards the election of Tinubu/ Shettima ticket. As one of the Frontline advocate for equitable distribution of Power between the North and the South, which we earlier this year mobilized voters to go South, we have, once again, agreed to support Kalu and Abbas. We are also calling on all party faithfuls, particularly the members- elect to join hands with their colleagues to see to the enthronement of balance in the election of the new leadership of the National Assembly".
