Wednesday's encounter with visiting Warri Wolves of Delta state in the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) ended in 0-0 draw with the visiting team gaining one point against host, Niger Tornadoes of Minna.
Tornadoes lost several chances to score though both teams started well with good defensive mechanism the 90 minutes full time only favoured visiting Wolves that went home with one point against their host.
Speaking to Sports Writers shortly after the encounter the Chief Coach of Warri Wolves, Hassan Abdallah said he realized that defeating Niger Tornadoes football club in their home wasn't going to be that easy but, 'it was a good outing'.
Coach Abdallah said he quickly detailed his boys to concentrate in defending their goal post when he realized that suppressing Niger Tornadoes to their advantage was not going to be an easy win.
Though the 90 minutes full time encounter presented three yellow cards; one against home based player, while two others are against visiting Warri Wolves, Coach Abdallah said both teams skillfully gave very good football account of themselves.
"When we noticed that the game wasn't going to be an easy win for us after several attempts to gai an upper hand, we decided to focus on their weak side", Coach Abdallah said.
Coach Abdallah said, "We noticed that the team hadn't good rapour within themselves so we concentrated on defence, we took advantage of the weak midfield, and to God be the glory we were able to secure one point". NNL.
