Speaking to journalists at the site of the evacuation, Mr. Enehita-Inegbenehi reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring cleanliness across the State in harmony with the vision of the Governor Okpebholo-led administration.

"This morning, we decided to come here to evacuate the waste in the market free of charge. His Excellency wants to make the State the cleanest in Nigeria. We have all the plans in place, and as time goes on, you will see it," he said.

Mr. Enehita-Inegbenehi also revealed the introduction of a 24-hour evacuation programme set to begin in January, 2025. According to him, the initiative aims to carry out waste removal during the evenings, ensuring that markets remain clean and tidy when traders and customers arrive in the morning.

He appealed to traders and residents to adopt a culture of cleanliness, emphasizing its importance in achieving the State Government administration's goal. NNL.
