The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), has criticised the call by it's fellow professional body, the Medical and Dental Consultant's Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), that the Bill for the amendment of the University Teaching Hospital (Reconstitution of Boards etc.) Act CAP U15 LFN 2004 which is currently before the National Assembly for deliberation, be thrown out.

A Federal High Court Judge in Abuja, Justice Binta Murtala Nyako, who is presiding over the on-going trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), on Tuesday, dismissed the bail request by Kanu, saying that she was not satisfied with the reasons given by the IPOB leader for failing to appear in her court for the continuation of his trial.
