The Appeal Court, Abuja Division, on Friday, dismissed the application by Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, a 2023 governorship aspirant in Enugu state on the platform of the Labour Party seeking to be joined as an interested party in the appeal case brought by Labour Party challenging an earlier judgement by a lower court which had nullified a purported gubernatorial primary it held on August 4, 2022.

The Labour Party has appointed former Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Akin Osuntokun, as the new Director General of it's Presidential Campaign Council.

Former Director General of Peter Obi's Presidential Campaign Council, Doyin Okupe, has predicted that the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, will win and lead massively in the South-East region in the 2023 general election.

Doyin Okupe has stepped down from his position as the director-general of the Labour Party presidential campaign council.

A chieftain of the Labour Party, (LP), Chief Patrick Eholor, has declared that a court judgment convicting Doyin Okupe, the Director General, DG, of the Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, of the party will not affect the ongoing campaign in any way.
